Wellness & Health Promotion
The World Health Organization defines Health Promotion as the art and science of "enabling people to increase control over and improve their health."

According to the Centers for Disease Control, 7 out of every 10 deaths in the U.S. result from chronic diseases, which are largely preventable with a healthy lifestyle and exercise. With programs like Get Active America! and 'I Lost It at the Club!,' IHRSA is determined to convince the world that exercise is part of the solution to the healthcare and obesity crises.
